This is a great design!
I am just adding more finished sets of this style here.
Currently just completed is a set if six, in rosewood veneer.
The rosewood came out really really nice. Some parts show age, but mostly beautiful.
This set features exposed hex screws. These machine screws are heavy heavy duty, so much redundancy were built into them.
We chose to clean and reuse the original hex screws.
We have new ones, just prefer the older look.
There should be a post to just talk about the hex screws. Maybe next week.😉
The upholstery leather is high quality. Sometimes, there are marks on the cow skin, the scar tissue of a number, a letter, a circle. a mark.
To use most of the leather and reduce leather waste, sometimes, you will see the an above mentioned mark somewhere on the edge, in the back of the back.
The rosewood grains are so beautiful.

The pair below in Knoll wool are going to Connecticut. In fact, somehow so many of my chairs of this style had gone to CT. It’s just amazing.
The construction is amazing. The backs are attached with four industrial machine socket screws!
We have seen ones with as many as 11 layers lamination. Some have 7 layers.
The seats are attached withh screws on to four steel dowels ,that themselves are inserted into the holes drilled into the frames.
In the next few days, I am going to gather and post a number of images that hopefully tells a full tale about this style.😀
Some come with exposed socket screws. Some with scew caps.
we only use high quality high-density upholstery foam for vintage Midcentury modern restoration. In the last couple years though, the price of foam has gone up a lot. And some retailers manage the shipping very very poorly. I think the vendors on Amazon.com have found a way to ship quickly and economically.
These are reupholstered in linen fabric upon request of a designer. The pictures don’t do justice to the look and feel in person.
The armchairs in good condition are very difficult to find in pairs.
But when they are in good condition, they tend to be in really really good condition.
