The process of restoration in a few images:

Nothing but unstoppable aging. the foam has powderized. The dust has been accumulating. The fabric,vinyl and leather upholstery is tired.
Make no mistake. This IS quality.

Eventually, all the original materials are removed. The frame is like new in structural quality.
It takes many skilled hours to get to this point, but the work just started.
The L nails are in. The correct spacing makes sure there are just enough of them.
how to start your weave.
There is no right way to start the weave. One way is to tuck the end in on the left front.
Another way is to leave a section on the left, so it can be used to wrap the front.

The original fabric looks fine. And we can still use the chairs for maybe 5 more years. But as shown in the beginning, the dust is there.
